Our Church has been in the city of Petersburg for over 150 years, and has continued uniting God's sons and daughters in communion ever since. We are an "Open and affirming" congregation, which means: We do not stand in judgment of, but in service to, others. As we celebrate God's love through Jesus, our mission is to extend love and grace to all of His people. Please feel welcome to any of our services or activities whenever possible; you will always be welcomed with unconditional love and accepted for who you are.
First Christian Church is indeed a small church, however, we are committed to reaching out to one family or one individual at a time, to share Gods' bountiful gifts, and be of service as He calls us to do.
We realize that God's plan for this Church, which began over 150 years ago, is still being fulfilled. He now relies on us to continue and enlarge the work He began. So we will look back, to remember and look forward to the future.
